Marcel Lemay

Celebrating a full life well lived, the family of Marcel Lemay announces his passing on February 9, 2026, in Lac La Biche, Alberta, at the age of 83 years. 

When he wasn’t building something, he was often found at the curling rink or casting a line into his favourite fishing hole, patiently waiting for the big one. His prized red Corvette was his pride and joy, a symbol of his love for the open road and a life lived at full throttle. Above all, his family was his greatest masterpiece. He was a steady anchor and a constant source of strength, teaching us that the best things in life are built with patience, precision, and a whole lot of love. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. 

Marcel leaves with cherished memories, his children: Brenda (Duane) Gauthier, Angele Lemay; grandchildren: Jeffrey (Clara) Gauthier, Rylee (Cory) Gauthier, Derek (Nicole) Gauthier, Jacob Middleton; great grandchildren: Bentley, Lenie, Brady, Finley, Emery, Brooks; brothers: Leonard (Annette) Lemay, Odean (Joanne) Lemay, Gilbert Lemay; sisters: Marie-Rose Duperron, Joanne (Roger) Plamondon; 2nd wife: Rita Plamondon, and her family; son-in-law: Jim Middleton; sister-in-law: Mimi Lemay. 

He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years Jennelle Lemay; daughter: Christine Middleton; parents: Robert & Bertha Lemay; sister: Laurette Fulk; brother: Fernand Lemay; brother-in-law: Alphonse Duperron; sister-in-law: Debbie Lemay. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Isidore Catholic Church, Plamondon, Alberta. Father Adrian Turmanda will be officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jeffrey Gauthier, Rylee Gauthier, Derek Gauthier, Jacob Middleton.
